Veliko Tarnovo renewable solar energy parks are operational

Veliko Tarnovo set to receive over 5 million euros  
Renewable energy projects developer from South Korea, SDN, and power producer Korea South-East Power Co (KOSEP) commissioned the operation of 2 solar parks worth a combined 154 million euro near Veliko Tarnovo, in North Central Bulgaria, Bulgaria’s economy ministry said on march 8th 2012.
The Samovodene and Zlataritsa solar parks have a combined capacity of 42 megawatts (MW) and an annual output of 61,320 megawatt hours (MWh), the ministry continued to say in a statement.
This is the biggest South Korean investment in Bulgaria land use so far.
More than 740 Bulgarian expert engineers and scientists and 40 companies were employed in their construction.
The municipality of Veliko Turnovo is expected to collect over 10 million levs in fees and taxes from the two parks during their life cycle.
